The International Office of the European Youth Parliament network is launching in April a new digital platform for EYP members to get more information about upcoming events, plan their own events and exchange information.

The Schwarzkopf Foundation is currently looking for a full time Project Manager for the European Youth Parliament program, to support our International Sessions. The envisaged date of entry is in mid June 2016.

The 81st International Session of the European Youth Parliament started today, 6th of March 2016, with a full day of Teambuilding at Queen's University Belfast. Our first flagship international session of 2016 is a joint project of EYP United Kingdom and EYP Ireland, bringing together almost 300 young people from 33 countries in two cities and countries. The event is supported by the Schwarzkopf Foundation as the EYP's international umbrella organisation.

At the beginning of this year, Germany took over the chairmanship of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), which inspired the Schwarzkopf foundation to create events for the year 2016 that involve young people in shaping ideas for international security in Europe parallel to the high-level politics.

A new year is here and with it also new winds in European Youth Parliament. As of January 1st, the three new members of the governing body Beata, Lars-Erik and Jenny start their mandates. The Governing Body is responsible for ensuring the educational value of EYP, taking care of HR and establishing a long-term strategy for the network. You can read more about their work here.

A panel discussion was organised for interested young students in Berlin within our project“Power Shifts - Reflecting Europe's Energy” on November 24. The guests gathered to discuss the opportunities and challenges digitalisation poses on the energy sector just a few days before the UN Climate Change Conference COP21 in Paris.
