  • The Rebuild Ukraine Ambassadors will unveil their Vision Paper, “A Sustainable Tomorrow: Youth Visions for Rebuilding Ukraine”

As Ukraine continues to confront the challenges of a full-scale Russian invasion, as well as the monumental task of rebuilding, a group of young action-takers from across Europe united to shape a vision for a sustainable and forward-looking reconstruction process. The Rebuild Ukraine Ambassadors, a dedicated group of young Ukrainians and their European peers, will present their policy paper, titled “A Sustainable Tomorrow: Youth Visions for Rebuilding Ukraine”, at the upcoming event “Young Voices, Big Impact: Youth Visions for Rebuilding Ukraine” on April 29th, from 16:30 to 18:00, at the Arts 56 Building in Brussels.

With the support of its partners, the European Youth Parliament (EYP) runs the Rebuild Ukraine Ambassadors Programme which gives a platform to young perspectives on Ukrainian reconstruction. Last year, 20 young leaders, aged 17 to 27, from Ukraine and across Europe were selected as Rebuild Ukraine Ambassadors to take part in this powerful initiative. Over a six-month period, these Ambassadors engaged in extensive research and consultations to develop strategic proposals addressing five critical areas essential to Ukraine’s sustainable recovery: Cultural Heritage, Energy Security, Cybersecurity, Education, and Urbanisation.

The event “Young Voices, Big Impact: Youth Visions for Rebuilding Ukraine” aims to bridge the gap between youth perspectives and European policymaking. The agenda features keynote remarks from Anna Jarosz-Friis, Director of Ukraine Service in the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST), followed by presentations from the Ambassadors on their proposals across the five key areas. A panel discussion titled “Rebuilding Ukraine: Pathways to Resilience and Global Partnerships” will facilitate dialogue between the Ambassadors, policymakers, financial institutions, and civil society representatives.

Event Schedule:

  • 16:00 PM – 16:30 PM: Registration
  • 16:30 PM – 16:35 PM: Opening Remarks
