The EYP Presidents’ Summit 2024 is happening in Kraków this weekend!

The EYP Presidents’ Summit is an essential capacity building event which invites the Presidents of all EYP National Committees, member organisations, to come together for training, networking, and knowledge sharing activities. The Presidents are the volunteer leaders of these youth organisations, typically elected for one year and in charge of leading the board as well as overseeing the EYP activities taking place in their country overall.

Hosted by EYP Poland, this summit will bring together more than 30 participants, among them at least 20 Presidents of the National Committees.  This event aims to empower them by providing them a platform for the exchange of ideas, enabling them to continue their impactful work.

This edition of the Presidents’ Summit will focus on a number of topics. The volunteer Facilitators are Alonso Císcar Taulet (ES) and Julia Walígora (PL) former Presidents of their member organisations in Spain and Poland respectively. The facilitators, of the event have chosen to prioritise knowledge sharing and time for shared reflection on the different challenges faced by Presidents in different contexts. On top of this, the programme will feature key inputs on various topics that are important in youth work. Media literacy will be highlighted during a year when EYP National Committees have been advocating for voting during various European and global election periods. As peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing is a crucial part of the event vision, reflection sessions will take place at the end of each day. In these sessions, opportunities will be available for Presidents to take lessons from best practices implemented in other National Committees. Here, challenges such as outreach and member retention will be covered. Finally, participants will focus on how these lessons can be implemented in their own national contexts.
