#EYPFriendships: Anastasia & Albina

:: Story of Anastasiia and Albina :: 

We first connected in the PR Department of EYP Ukraine, but the real beginning of our friendship was the Nizhyn Regional Selection Conference, where we worked together as Media Team Members and definitely clicked. After organising the Media Digital Training of EYP Ukraine, we continued our journey together as delegates at Magura’, bonding even more, slaying the session, and dancing the night away at the Gala Night. Our friendship kept growing with every event, especially after the Oleksandriia Regional Session, where we spent so much time together and realised how naturally our energies matched. Soon we started meeting online all the time: Zoom calls, long conversations, co-working, planning, and then Albina travelled to Poltava for my birthday, which made it an amazing experience with our EYPers too. We kept going to events together, including the Training Weekend of EYP Ukraine, and most recently the unforgettable Rebuild Ukraine Ambassadors Study Trip, where I was the Editress and Albina was the Event Safe Person. Growing into leadership roles together has been one of the most beautiful parts of our journey. We’ve travelled, worked, learned, organised, created an English school together and celebrated side by side, always supporting each other and building a friendship that goes far beyond EYP!!!

:: Favourite Memory :: 

One of our favourite moments that we shared together must be the New Year 2025 in Poltava. At midnight, we decided to honour the Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes in one minute under the table. We were surrounded by family, laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe, half-choking on grapes, and starting the new year with absolute chaos and pure happiness.

:: Staying in Touch ::

Honestly, we talk every single day – it’s automatic at this point. We’re constantly meeting on Zoom, sending each other TikToks, reels, memes, and voice messages, hyping up each other’s projects and dreams, and sharing good days, hard days, and all the little moments in between. And of course, we meet offline whenever we can – for birthdays, travels, or new EYP adventures. We’re already planning more sessions and projects together, so… EYP, be ready. You’ll see us again soon.
