Imagine
being 18, and just being elected to preside one of the biggest youth
organisations in your country. You’ve never had work experience yourself, but
now, suddenly, you must deal with work contracts for your employees, legal
structures and tax forms, run a network of volunteers, motivate your fellow
board members… It sure feels like a lot!
We are aware that our national committee presidents are superheroes! With the Presidents Meeting, EYP aims to provide the space for one of our network’s most committed volunteers to be humane and vulnerable, provide space to reconnect with each other, learn from our common successes and failures and strengthen organic support networks between Presidents.
In 2019, Presidents gathered for a long weekend in Porto, Portugal, thanks to the support of EYP Portugal, Mercator Stiftung and Erasmus+. Check out below what we have learned!
