EYP Alumni Professional Communities 

This new initiative is designed to bring together EYP Alumni in thematic areas of experience and expertise in order to offer networking and knowledge sharing opportunities.
Members of the EYP Alumni Professional Communities will become part of a supportive group of people across Europe with expertise and experience in the same professional field. These connection spaces will be fostered through semi-regular meetings and a shared online group.

The professional communities can be a great platform to share advice, knowledge, and resources. They offer potential for collaboration between members of the same field across different countries. Each professional community will open a door to new contacts and colleagues, where members will be empowered to share cases and challenges to and receive insights and advice, leaning into EYP’s peer-to-peer learning concept.

In addition, the professional communities will form expert pools receiving invites to support events across the EYP network as panellists and input-givers. The groups will be managed by a ‘Community Manager’, who will be an EYP Alum that works to ensure the community members can have the best experience possible.

Community members will have the chance to join EYP activities, share their professional insights, shape how their expert topic is understood by young people, and give back in a structured way to the network which they helped to shape.

So far, four professional communities have been announced:

• for climate & energy professionals,
• for education professionals,
• for law, diplomacy, and international organisations professionals,
• for business professionals.
