Launching of the 2024 EYP Member Survey
Last week, we released the 2024 version of the Member Survey, open to all members, active and inactive.
The EYP Member Survey was designed to increase our understanding of the true impact of EYP:
Which young people are we reaching? Does participating in EYP boost delegates teamwork skills? What are our past volunteers’ careers? Your participation can help us answer these and many more questions.
In the 2023 version of the member survey, we got almost 800 responses that allowed us to learn from EYP members.
Here are some of our results:
- Regarding personal development, more than half of the survey respondents felt that participating in sessions in the past year helped them improve their public-speaking skills. Other skills that were put into practice in EYP sessions were Project Management, Teamwork and Leadership.
- Additionally, EYPers are actively involved in the social and political lives of their communities.A significant proportion of members actively inform themselves about politics, discuss current affairs with others and volunteer in organisations that promote EYP values.
- EYP even had long term influence in some of our members! 29% of last years’ respondents agree that participating in EYP has had influence in their current career choice.
