Join us for an event in Brussels – The Price of Progress: Delivering a Fair, Affordable and Secure Energy Transition

On Tuesday, October 13th, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, we invite you to an official side event of the Brussels Climate Week

The discussion will be informed by the European Survey 2026 by the E.ON Foundation, which highlights growing future anxiety, declining trust in energy supply stability across Europe, and evolving attitudes towards climate action and responsibility. The presentation will also feature insights from young people across Europe.
The event will feature a panel discussion with:

  • Lena Schilling, Member of the European Parliament (Greens/EFA)
  • Lukas Sieper, Member of the European Parliament (Renew Europe)
  • Stephanny Ulivieri, Secretary General of Youth and Environment Europe (YEE)

Together with participants, they will discuss how Europe can balance affordability, security, and sustainability in its energy transition.

What makes this event unique is its participatory format. Rather than a traditional panel discussion, attendees will be invited to actively contribute their perspectives, engage directly with the speakers, and help shape a final recommendation emerging from the conversation. As youth perspectives are at the heart of the event, we are particularly keen to welcome youth organisations and young people to the discussion.

This event is an official side event of Brussels Climate Week, a platform that brings together policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, and communities to turn ideas into action and accelerate Europe’s path toward sustainability and competitiveness.

Attendance is free of charge. Please note that associated costs (e.g., travel) are not covered.
