The EYP National Committee Support Fund is about to kickstart distributing €14.000! We will support 16 national organisations and 27 different events and projects which will be carried out by EYP across Europe throughout 2019. Supported projects include national organisation capacity building, strategies, administrative costs and legal fees, sustainability, and strengthening the diversity of the network.

The 89th International Session of the European Youth Parliament(EYP) took place in Yerevan, Armenia in March 2019. For 10 days, almost 300 participants from 36 countries across Europe engaged in intercultural encounters and explored ways to be active citizens together. It was notably the biggest international youth event in the history of Armenia. Below are some of the session's highlights.

This March has been busy for the Power Shifts project! Next to the Yerevan International Session and Baku National Selection Conference, also the National Selection Conference of EYP France took place between 21- 26 March in Eaubonne with a total of 115 participants, gathering delegates from all over France as well as Ukraine and Armenia. The media team of Eaubonne session asked the delegates their opinion on energy transition, and you can hear their opinions on this video by Francisco Cardoso, the editor of the session.

Perhaps the 22nd February should be celebrated as the "European Day of Active Citizenship" from now on, since on Friday 22nd  of March 2019 eleven (yes, 11!) different EYP sessions were taking place across Europe simultaneously, involving in their activities more than 1000 young Europeans altogether. From Portugal to Poland and from Norway to Albania, in one single day, hundreds of young people participated in the European Youth Parliament for the first time.

The first ever EYP Media Innovation Lab took place in Berlin in December 2018. The event gathered 16 experienced EYPers from 11 countries who discussed several EYP and media related topics, such as the newly launched EYP Communication Strategy, the mission of EYP media teams, improvements on the internal and external communication, as well as consistency in the media outputs.

End of November the first event supported from the Power Shifts Fund 2018 took place in Denmark. All topics discussed at the Regional Selection Conference of EYP Denmark in Vejle formed around the notion of resilience, which is prominent in the public discourse of the area since Vejle is the third smallest city in the 100 Resilient Cities Network. Around 30 participants from the area and all around the country had the chance to discuss energy related and environmental topics at the Rødkilde gymnasium which generously supported the event. We had a chance to talk to the Head Organisers of the session, Anne Seeneha Henriksen and Christian Fuglsang Pedersen, who shared with us their impressions as well as the reasons they decided to incorporate an energy related session concept.
