BASES Events of the National Committees of EYP in the countries of the Eastern Partnership

Organised by EYP Armenia, EYP Azerbaijan, EYP Belarus, EYP Georgia, EYP Lithuania and EYP Ukraine, a number of events have already taken place in the countries of the Eastern Partnership as a series of regional sessions, national conferences and international forums. After two successful years now in the third year, BASES 2017 comprises regional conferences in Belarus and Ukraine, a university forum in Russia, international fora in Armenia and Georgia as well as a conference in Belarus. Included are also capacity building events in Ukraine and Azerbaijan, a diversity lab in Armenia as well as a network development Lab in Berlin.

IEFA International Forum in Yerevan, September 15-23, 2017

This year EYP Armenia will gather approximately 200 participants under the motto “Feel you power” and thus organised the biggest Annual International Youth Forum in Eastern Europe in terms of geographic coverage and number of participants. This year they will commence their flagship event on the International Day of democracy and will broaden the scope on global ties by involving young people from all continents. 

Diversity lab, October 21-27, 2017

This capacity building measure will be implemented, enabling young people to learn organisational structures in exchange with experienced peers and experts, and become multipliers themselves depending on their interests. In addition, learning experience, and personal development can be ensured through dynamic learning formats, and self-responsibility within the within the EYP. This diversity training will bring European issues closer to those who would not usually reach us, making our participant group more diverse as a whole.

Chairs-, Journalists and Organisers Training, August 20-24, 2017

This CJO Training event serves as capacity building within the network, allowing young people to exchange knowledge with their peers and experts to study organisational structures, become multipliers depending on their interests, and allow the development of long-term stable structures.poll

Regional Selection Conference of EYP Belarus in December 2017

This session will be a big step in the history of EYP Belarus as it will be the first event in a long time to be held inside the countries borders as the last National Session, LVOU 2016,was held in Ukraine. Around 70 young people will gather in Grodno to discuss current political issues on a European scale. Therefore this will be an especially prestigous event financially supported by the BASES-programme.

Transregional Forum Telavi, May 4-7, 2017

This Transregional Forum of EYP Georgia will gather about 125 participants in the picturesque city of Telavi from May 4 – 7, 2017. Young people from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia will meet to discuss current European issues and promote understanding between nations.



National Selection Conference of EYP Belarus, November 4-7, 2017

This exceptional cooperational project will debut November 4-7, 2017.



University Forum of  EYP Russia, March 22-25, 2017

BASES’17 had a great kick-off event with the 1st University Session of EYP Russia. University students gathered in Russia between the 22 and 25 March 2017 to create an EYP-session of their own. This was the first time the BASES project organised a session in Russia. On the topic agenda were discussions on cryptocurrencies and the fight against corruption.

Regional Selection Conferences of EYP Ukraine during April and May 2017

2017’s Regional Selection Conferences of EYP Ukraine will gather a total of almost 300 participants. They will travel to Vinnytsia, Odesa or Kyiv to discuss current regional and European issues, and bring the European Youth Parliament in remote areas that usually do not have access to non-formal political education. 

Training Camp of EYP Ukraine, August 9-13, 2017

EYP Ukraine’s training Camp will take place in summer 2017 and gather both experienced members who want to improve their skills and people who have not got a significant experience in EYP community to build more capacity and to spread knowledge about best practices and working procedures.
