The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a unique educational programme which brings together young people from all over Europe, to discuss current topics in a parliamentary setting. The EYP is a non-partisan and independent programme. The EYP consists of a network of 40 European associations and organisations in which thousands of young people are active in a voluntary capacity. With its international, national and regional sessions it reaches out to ca. 35 000 young people all over Europe every year. The international umbrella organisation of the EYP is the Schwarzkopf Foundation, hosting the International Office of the EYP. We are now looking for interns from the 1st of November 2016 onwards, for periods of three months throughout the whole academic year!

The Schwarzkopf Foundation, which is the international umbrella organisation of the European Youth Parliament, awards two kinds of scholarships for project trips in Europe.

The EYP Summer Academy is an international training event gathering representatives from all 40 EYP member countries aiming to support their work in their National Committees by providing training modules for their board members. The Summer Academy will take place from 16th -19th September in Wannsee, Berlin. Every EYP National Committee can select two Board Members to participate in this international training event, designed to strengthen the capacities in the network.

From May 20-22 a capacity training for new EU Crash Course trainers took place in Baku, Azerbaijan. The project is implemented as a cooperation of the Understanding Europe team at the Schwarzkopf Foundation together with European Youth Parliament Azerbaijan in order to establish a basic understanding of European politics amongst pupils in the Caucasus region to enable them to have a more holistic and comprehensive understanding of the EU and its neigbour countries.
