The European Youth Parliament is delighted to open the call for participants for the Second Power Shifts Academic Forum in Warsaw. The Forum will be held from the 22nd to the 30th of October 2016 and will gather around 140 participants from all over Europe.
The Forum is head-organised by the skillful Andrzej Daniluk (PL), presided by the brilliant Megan Smith (IE) and edited by the visionary Silja Tuovinen (FI).
The programme of the forum will involve Teambuilding, Committee Work, experts talks, a rich cultural programme and finally the General Assembly. The participation fee for the delegates is 60 €. The delegates must be over 18 at the time of the event. They are expected to arrive in Warsaw until late afternoon on October 22nd.
All individual delegates are asked to fill in and submit their application form (http://goo.gl/forms/Nsg5sBfGTKRE1RP12) by July 31st, 23:59 CEST.
Everyone interested in becoming a Moderator or a Media Team Member at the event can apply with their account at the EYP’s Member Platform until Sunday, 24th July 23:59 CEST.
Along the selection process there will be a competition for the most outstanding essay on the energy politics. The author will get awarded during the session with a Kindle e-book reader. Please answer in 400-600 words. The topic reads as follows: Experts identify three main trends in the field of energy for the upcoming years: decarbonisation, decentralisation and digitalisation. Pick at least one of the trends, explain it and elaborate on the effect it may have broadly both on the European level and specifically at your home country’s level. The question is part of the individuals application, however participants of the delegations are free to submit an essay too. They should send it before July 31st, 23:59 CET to firstname.lastname@example.org.

– The participation fee will be 60 Euro and covers accommodation and food during the programme.
– All participants will be selected according to their applications taking gender and regional balance into consideration.
– Participants must be between 18 and 25 years at the time of the event.
